Winterfest Plea For Help!!!

We’re trying to get together a gift-wrapping booth for Evergreen High School’s “Winterfest.”  “Winterfest,” if you don’t know, is an arts and crafts fair held at Evergreen High School.  “Winterfest” is on Saturday, November 14th, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  There is much more “Winterfest” information at http://www.evergreenarts.org/winterfest2009.htm.  The gift-wrapping booth will require two adults and three to four middle school students.  We’ll be wrapping gifts for people and accepting donations for the service.  Ideally, we’ll get enough people to sign-up so that we can do hour-long shifts.  Please call Tammy or Christian if you and/or your child are willing to work a shift.  Also, we are looking for help with gathering the wrapping materials.

Mathilde's Farewell Party

Mathilde is headed back to France!!!

Please come join Mathilde on Sunday, November 15 for some bowling.  We have reserved lanes at Belmar Lucky Strike from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.  All middle school students are welcome.

The bowling fee and shoe rental fee will be provided, please bring money for snacks and drinks!!!  Tell the desk you are with the "North" party.  See you there!!!

From interstate 70 - Access 6th Avenue East to Wadsworth Boulevard South.  Take Wadsworth Boulevard South to Alameda Avenue.  Turn East (left) on Alameda Avenue to South Teller Street. Turn South (right) on South Teller Street.  Belmar Center is located on the corner of South Teller Street and West Alaska Drive.

Parking - Free parking is available in the parking garage located on the corner of West Alaska Drive and Vance Street, one block West of South Teller Street and one block East of Wadsworh.

Colorado Adventure Elective Field Trip

On Monday, November 9 the Colorado Adventure Elective will be going to Alpenglow Mountain Sports located in Golden.  The students will watch demonstrations on tuning and waxing skis and snowboards.  They will depart at 2:00 p.m. and return for regular dismissal at 4:00 p.m.

Mandatory December Rehearsals for all MMS Music Students

All Music Performance and Musician's Workshop students must attend 2 rehearsals in order to prepare for the final performance on Friday, December 11, 2009.

Monday, Dec. 7 Mandatory After School Rehearsal 4:00-5:30 p.m.

Thursday, Dec. 10 Mandatory Dress Rehearsal/Runthrough 3:00-5:15 p.m.

Performance Night, Friday, Dec. 11 @ 6:45 p.m.

Performers need to arrive in concert dress by 6:00 p.m.

Don't forget instruments, cables, usb sticks, music, etc!

Those who would like may stay after school and practice

High School Night is just around the corner. Please help with refreshments!!!

We are looking for several families to provide simple refreshments and drinks for this event.  If you can help please call Tammy at 303.679.9065.

We’re having our traditional High School Night on Friday, 11/6/09, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.  Many of our Montessori alumni who are currently in high school will share their experiences with our middle school students and families.  This night has been successful because our students and families get a firsthand perspective of the various high schools our children attend.  Our alumni will give their impression of the high school that they attend, they will give advice on making a successful transition from the Montessori Middle School to high school and they’ll field questions about their experience.  Please plan to attend.

Halloween Dance this Friday, October 30

Come join us at the middle school to eat, drink, dance, and have fun. The 8th year is hosting this years Halloween social! Music will be played, refreshments and food will be served throughout the dance, and there will be a haunted house for the 6th and 7th to explore! There will be teachers and parents chaperoning.  Remember to wear a costume for the contest!!!
