Celebration – Wednesday, May 28
For Elementary and Middle School Families
On Wednesday, May 28, we invite elementary and middle school parents to join us for our annual graduation ceremony and picnic! The ceremony begins in the middle school at 10:30 a.m. and includes recognition of students moving to the next level from the lower and upper elementary classes and 8th year. After the ceremony, at around 12:15, we will have a picnic behind the main building. The picnic is for all elementary and middle school families so even if you can’t make the ceremony, please join your child for the picnic.
We will serve sloppy joes (both meat and vegetarian), potato and fruit salads, chips, dessert, lemonade and ice tea. Most of the food will be bought already prepared, but we need assistance with shopping, setup and cleanup plus some parents to prepare batches of the sloppy joes at home. It is essential that we know the approximate number of people coming. If you volunteer, you will be called to confirm your help. Many thanks to Kris Vallin and Kathy Knetsch who have agreed to coordinate volunteers and set-up for the picnic.
Please make other arrangements for your younger children. Very limited childcare will be available from 10:15 – 1:30 for MSE primary siblings only at a cost of $5 per child. You need to provide a sack lunch for your child.
Because so many of you will already be here and will take your child when the celebration is over, the bus will NOT run Wednesday afternoon.
